Auditors shift from Manual Auditing to Electronic

Auditors going through the weeklong session that introduces TEAMMATE+ Application, Navigation, hands-on activities, and applying methodology of the new TEAMATE+ audit management software.

An Auditors’ burden to carry stacks of audit papers for auditing and reporting will soon be a thing of the past now when Auditors of the Auditor General’s Office (AGO) are getting prepared to implement a new Web-Based software called TEAMMATE+ Audit.

The TEAMMATE+ Audit software was customized by the AGO Champions to suit the PNG Business environment.

During a workshop conducted at Stanley Hotel on the 11th – 14th of April 2023, auditors were amazed when taught the skill of how to manage the new paperless software.

The weeklong session introduced staff to the TEAMMATE+ Application, Navigation hands on activities, and applying methodology learnt in the new TEAMATE+ system.

An earlier version Teammate Administration Module (Teammate AM) came into the scene in April of 2017.

The version presented then was only used by Statutory Bodies and the Provincial and Local Level Governments Audit Division of AGO, until its migration to TEAMATE+ in April 2022.

Through the system, AGO was able to trial out through progressive implementation its first ever auditing reports on the Web-Base software back in 2022, with impressive results.

The new system can be accessible when hooked up from anywhere through an efficient internet connectivity, and stores onsite audit reports direct to the AGO server at the headquarters in Port Moresby.

The training conducted was the first phase that introduced Auditors to the TEAMMATE+ Audit Application and, its Methodology on Planning.

The second phase of the training will coincide in June of this year (2023) which will cover Methodology on Review and Reporting for auditors to fully implement rolling out of the TEAMMATE+ Audit Web-Base Auditing System.
