Auditor General of PNG Mr. Gordon Kega seated (Middle) alongside ENB Provincial Administration, and Senior Auditors from the Auditor General’s Office posed for a photo in ending the successful profile date presentation at Kokopo East New Britain Province.
The Auditor General (AG) of Papua New Guinea, Mr. Gordon Kega classified a profile data (framework) presentation done by the East New Britain Provincial (ENBP) Administration as a role model, setting standards for all Services Improvement Program (SIP) auditing.
The framework presented was based on ENBP’s 2015 performance base report showcasing key surveyed information that aided the dissemination of the Services Improvement Program (SIP) funds throughout the districts and the province as a whole.
The presentation highlighted the key profile data on ENBP’s land mass, population density, and demography survey on various ages and gender to name a few, with its Vision & Mission Statement which enabled the ENBP Administration in its efforts of equitable disbursement of SIP funds to the much needed projects in all areas of the four districts.
AG Kega was pleased with the report presented to him and his senior auditors in East New Britain Province, and applauded the Provincial Administration for their tremendous effort in putting together useful data on the districts.
AG Kega said the ENBP’s framework had set the standard, “a benchmark” for other Provincial Administrations throughout PNG “a must” to have a similar strategy based on the needs of each individual province and district.
Senior auditors who accompanied AG Kega on the official visit to ENBP were urged to capture the spirit and the intention of the ENBP’s framework for proper, meaningful, and comprehensive SIP audits to be conducted with basic information and details including the type of projects funded through the Services Improvement Program (SIP) funds.
